Job summary

Catbird NYC is opening a new store in Chicago and seeks an experienced Store Manager to lead sales, people management, and the development of store processes to elevate the customer experience and drive growth.

You will coach teams on the sales floor, schedule coverage, analyze daily and weekly reports, manage payroll and store expenses, and ensure flawless operations with a personal, memorable guest experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience leading a team of 10-25 store employees.
• Weekend availability required.
• Experience creating/managing staff schedules.
• Experience analyzing business reporting.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Customer service driven with a hands-on sales floor presence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer experience and set the standard for service on the sales floor.
• Coach, train, and develop store staff from entry level to Assistant Manager.
• Schedule retail floor coverage according to business needs and payroll goals.
• Analyze sales and payroll data to drive performance and profitability.
• Oversee store operations and inventory display in alignment with policy updates.
• Communicate clearly and proactively with the team and management.
• Collaborate with management partners to drive new ideas and guest experiences.
