Job summary

Journeys, a teen retail leader, is seeking a Store Manager-in-Training or similar role in the Dayton area to recruit, hire, and train store personnel while driving sales and protecting company assets. The position emphasizes an energetic, inclusive environment and promotion from within.

You will lead a team to meet store goals, manage daily operations, and ensure adherence to company standards across loss prevention and customer service.

Qualifications

• Prior retail management experience preferred.
• 1–2 years retail sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals and standards of performance.
• Recruit, interview, and hire high-caliber employees with in-store needs.
• Train and develop a successful sales team.
• Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees by enforcing all company policies and practices.
• Ensure that all company initiatives are properly implemented and to the standard of the company direction.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews.
• Recognize talented staff and develop them for growth within the company.
• Supervise and manage all aspects of daily store operations.
• Supervise and manage all aspects of Loss Prevention practices.
• Plan weekly staffing schedules in compliance with schedules policy.
• Provide a fun, full service experience to all customers.
• Resolve customer issues effectively.
