Outdoor Living Supply (OLS) is a leading wholesale distributor of outdoor living products, serving professional contractors, dealers, and customers through a growing network of locations across the United States.

We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Store Manager to lead our Willow Creek Landscape Supply location in Rome, GA. This is an opportunity for an experienced leader who understands the hardscape, nursery, contractor, and retail industries and enjoys building high-performing teams, developing customer and contractor relationships, driving sales, improving operational performance, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of the business, including leading the team, executing company strategy, managing financial performance, expanding contractor and retail relationships, driving sales, improving operational performance, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of daily store operations, including hardscape sales, nursery operations, contractor services, retail customer service, transportation, inventory, warehouse operations, safety, merchandising, and workforce management.
• Oversee and grow the hardscapes and nursery businesses by maintaining appropriate product assortments, monitoring inventory levels, improving merchandising, and responding to seasonal and market demands.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with landscape contractors, builders, designers, dealers, homeowners, and retail customers throughout the Rome and surrounding markets.
• Drive contractor and commercial sales by identifying new business opportunities, developing customer accounts, following up on quotes and projects, and increasing customer loyalty and market share.
• Deliver an exceptional retail customer experience by ensuring customers receive knowledgeable product guidance, responsive service, and effective solutions for their outdoor living and landscaping projects.
• Drive store sales, gross margin, profitability, and customer satisfaction while meeting or exceeding company goals.
• Build, coach, develop, and inspire a high-performing team through effective hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement aligned with OLS’s FORTITUDE values.
• Analyze store financials, operational metrics, inventory performance, product mix, pricing, contractor activity, and nursery performance to identify trends and implement improvement strategies.
• Partner with Regional Leadership and Corporate teams on budgeting, merchandising, staffing, pricing, marketing, and operational initiatives that improve business performance.
• Support local marketing initiatives, contractor outreach, trade shows, community events, and promotional opportunities that strengthen the Willow Creek Landscape Supply brand.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-focused store, nursery, warehouse, and yard environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, Standard Operating Procedures, safety programs, and operational standards.
• Travel periodically for meetings, training, or to support neighboring store locations.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
• 1+ years of Store Manager, Branch Manager, or Assistant Store Manager experience in a retail, wholesale, or distribution environment.
• Proven ability to recruit, develop, coach, and motivate high-performing teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
• Demonstrated success managing multiple priorities while delivering operational and financial results.
• Experience analyzing business metrics and implementing action plans to improve performance.
• Strong understanding of customer service, sales, inventory management, and operational best practices.
• Experience managing budgets, expenses, and profitability.
• Proficiency with NetSuite or other ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Resourceful, proactive problem-solver with a hands-on leadership style.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in landscape supply, building materials, hardscapes, masonry, construction, wholesale distribution, or a related industry.
• Knowledge of merchandising, inventory optimization, transportation, and warehouse operations.
• Forklift or Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification, or willingness to obtain certification.

This position is based at an OLS store and includes work both indoors and outdoors in a retail, warehouse, and yard environment. Responsibilities include time spent at a computer, assisting customers, supervising operations, and occasionally operating yard equipment (training and certification provided as required). Periodic travel to support nearby locations, meetings, or training may be required.

Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Expected Schedule: 50+ hours per week, generally aligned with store operating hours, including occasional Saturdays and seasonal business needs.

Compensation

• Base Salary:$75,000–$90,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, industry knowledge, and internal equity.
• Incentive Compensation: Eligible for participation in a performance-based incentive program with competitive bonus earning potential based on company and store performance.

Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, industry knowledge, leadership capabilities, and internal equity.
