Position: Store Manager

Reports To: District Manager

Direct Reports: Assistant Store Manager, Jewelry Consultant, Sales Support, Inventory Control

Position Summary

The Store Manager (SM) leads daily store operations to meet sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, inventory, brand representation, and team development goals. The SM fosters a People First environment, promoting diversity, inclusion, and building lifelong customer relationships to deliver a top-tier customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate performance expectations; coach and develop staff; ensure brand consistency and visual standards.
  • Implement and communicate corporate initiatives; foster understanding of strategy and goals.
  • Lead customer service excellence; empower team to resolve issues; follow up on customer requests.
  • Achieve sales targets; analyze reports; identify opportunities; collaborate with nearby managers.
  • Hire, onboard, and develop talent; set performance goals; maintain open communication.
  • Promote a positive, respectful work environment; ensure compliance with policies.
  • Control expenses; manage schedules; ensure proper store coverage during peak and off-peak periods.
Work Schedule

Typically a 40-hour week during non-peak periods, with shifts scheduled to optimize store operations and staff development. Hours increase during peak seasons.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of college preferred
  • At least 3 years retail sales experience, or 2 years sales plus 1 year management
  • Jewelry or specialty retail experience preferred
  • Diamond Council of America (DCA) certification is a plus
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and related tools
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
Physical Demands

Must be able to stand, reach, sit, stoop, bend, kneel, and lift up to 10 pounds. Visual acuity for gemstone quality assessment required. Flexibility for weekends, evenings, holidays, and travel.
