Job Description:

General Function / Summary:

As a financial services leader, we aim to make a difference in our customers’ lives and the communities we serve. Our Store Managers oversee daily operations and profitability of one or more retail locations within the Check ‘N Go, Allied Cash, or Cash Store brands, part of CNG Holdings, Inc. The role includes site operations, sales, customer service, and store leadership.

Essential Duties:

  1. Serve and educate customers on product options that meet their needs.
  2. Interact with customers, confirm or clarify information, and diffuse complaints.
  3. Escalate unresolved issues to the District Director of Operations or Corporate Office.
  4. Respond professionally to questions, customer applications, and requests, adhering to regulations and store policies.
  5. Handle cash including managing a cash drawer, deposits, and bank pickups.
  6. Balance cash receipts with sales reports and resolve discrepancies.
  7. Perform customer verifications.
  8. Process transactions accurately, including loans, check cashing, and Net Spend.
  9. Comply with federal and state regulations and company policies.
  10. Complete required compliance trainings timely.
  11. Coordinate operations, staff training, and development to meet metrics.
  12. Maintain staff schedules and support store coverage within the district.
  13. Support staff in providing excellent customer service and sales culture.
  14. Assist with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding Assistant Store Managers.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  1. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  2. At least 2 years of experience in sales, customer service, and cash handling.
  3. Preferred: 1+ year supervisory experience.
  4. Strong customer service, communication, and active listening skills.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  6. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and lead at store level.
  7. Must have reliable personal transportation, a valid driver’s license, and insurance.

Physical Demands:

  • Work in retail/office environment with extensive cash handling.
  • Extended periods of standing, phone use, and computer work.
  • Must lift up to 50 lbs with accommodations.

Travel / Attendance:

  • Travel within the district using personal vehicle.
  • Potential overnight travel and travel to neighboring districts.
  • Work scheduled shifts.

Supervisory Functions:

  • May lead on-site for Assistant Store Managers.
