Job summary

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education & Experience: An associate degree in business administration, retail sales or marketing is preferred; 2 years’ experience in staff management and development or a combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications: Valid Driver’s License. Able to drive on behalf of The Salvation Army per Salvation Army Policy.
Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to speak, write and understand English sufficiently for effective communication with customers, management, and coworkers.
  • Basic computer skills including Point of Sale System, payroll program, Microsoft Office Suite, and other adopted programs.
  • Ability to give change accurately.
  • Good speaking, hearing, and vision abilities, and manual dexterity.
Supervisory Responsibility

In conjunction with the Regional Manager, recruit, interview, and recommend for hire store staff. Train and supervise store staff. Provide personnel reviews, approve time and attendance, and check logs regularly, following all current regulations and trainings.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements include standing, using hands, hearing, talking, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision abilities include close and distance vision, and ability to focus. The work environment is a store with possible dust and temperature fluctuations, and may require standing for extended periods.

Travel & Working Conditions

May require travel to various locations for work, training, and management training. Work is performed in a retail store/warehouse environment, full-time, including weekends and evenings.
