Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Store Manager in Training to learn profitable store operations, merchandising, and signage while delivering exceptional customer service.

You’ll recruit and develop associates, oversee daily activities, ensure policy compliance, and implement directives from headquarters to maximize profit and asset protection. This on-site role at our Spring Hope, NC location offers a path to leadership through hands-on coaching, performance goals, and a quarterly bonus

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs and perform frequent physical activities.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve our customers.
• Foster growth and development through training on operations and merchandising while coaching and correcting when appropriate.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement operational and merchandising direction from corporate headquarters.
• Help your store reach its maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets.
• Maintain a high level of customer service across the store.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
