Job summary

Town Pump is seeking a motivated Store Manager Trainee to join our growing team in Townsend, MT. You will train with the store manager and co-manager to learn the full operation of the store, including supervisory decisions aligned with Town Pump standards and procedures.

This hands-on role covers daily bookwork, inventory, customer service, and resolving inquiries. A valid Driver’s License is required, and we offer strong benefits and opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities

• train with the store manager and/or co-manager to learn store operations and supervisory decisions in line with Town Pump standards and procedures
• understand controllable expenses, sales increases, margins, shortage controls, and promotional programs
• set an exemplary example for coworkers in customer service and store operations
• serve as acting store manager during the store manager’s absence (when the co-manager is not available)
• complete daily bookwork recording employee information, inventory, and sales information
• order supplies and merchandise, inventory merchandise, invoicing merchandise, data entry for daily sales, merchandising, stocking, pricing, and displays
• complete store maintenance and basic repairs, make bank deposits, and perform light cleaning of the store and restrooms
• provide new employee hiring, training, and orientation; discipline and/or termination of problem employees
• maintain security of all store assets, control of cash, fuel, inventories, and store merchandise and labor hours
• maintain a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record and complete other duties assigned by management
