Compensation
Pay Range: $17.55 - $24.50 per hour. This rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses, and premiums that can be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist the store manager in sales, appearance, and overall store operations. The role is structured to provide hands‑on training in preparation for a management position at another store or future location.
- Supervise the professional and retail operations of the store and team members, including:
- Professional: All delivery and installer service specialists
- Retail: All parts and merchandising specialists
- Oversee the work performed by all team members assigned to the store/HUB. Work jointly with the district manager and store manager on recruiting, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and firing team members.
- Communicate information from the Team Weekly and Monthly Store Manager meetings to all team members.
- Train new team members and handle performance evaluations. Recommend pay increases for team members.
- Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to ensure the selection of qualified team members.
- Support the store manager by working with the assistant management team to ensure safety compliance and that all team members receive appropriate training in all areas.
- Monitor safety expectations, make sales calls with or without the store manager, and may be assigned a schedule for weekly customer calls.
- Maintain the delivery fleet and keep records for each vehicle.
- Prepare and maintain electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll. Learn to utilize the electronic scheduling and time‑keeping system and payroll entry functions.
- Manage key components of gross profit, monitor professional customer returns, review competitive price matches and overrides, and review individual team member productivity and KPI dashboard daily.
- Review the monthly P&L statement with the store manager and discuss areas of opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Completion of Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
- Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
- Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systems.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience at an O’Reilly store and/or distribution center.
- Completion of the O’Reilly management training program.
- Advanced computer skills.
- ASE certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
