The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program is designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position through a self-paced, collaborative 16-week training that includes virtual and hands-on learning experiences. Support for your development includes your District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach.

Key skills for this role include:

1. Effective verbal and written communication to support and lead your team.
2. Customer care duties to ensure high service levels.
3. Executing merchandising strategies to support store sales growth.
4. Managing store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.

As an SMIT, you are expected to:

1. Engage actively with your leader during Key Learning Experiences to support your promotion path.
2. Support your store as a management team member, aligning with CVS values and policies.
3. Engage colleagues in the company's purpose of "helping people on their path to better health."
4. Be willing to accept promotion roles within your market.

Note: Selection for the SMIT role does not guarantee promotion to Store Manager, which depends on performance and open positions. Candidates must be willing to accept a Store Manager role at any location within the market and be able to transfer as needed. A high school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred. Relevant work or retail management experience is also considered.
