Primary Responsibilities
- Develop store sales objectives based on company goals, including scheduling, order planning, quality assurance, and team management.
- Ensure the store’s appearance is organized and inviting.
- Lead the team in providing a welcoming and high-quality shopping experience, addressing customer needs and enhancing satisfaction through themed sales events, marketing activities, and promotions.
- Manage store inventory and ordering processes to support sales objectives.
- Promote employee health and safety by implementing workplace safety policies.
- Oversee consistent quality across all store departments.
- Manage team policies, procedures, communication methods, and operational scheduling.
- Handle staff management tasks, including hiring, onboarding, training, development, and performance reviews.
- Conduct essential team meetings, including weekly sales reviews, quarterly assessments, and safety discussions.
- Communicate progress and challenges to the area manager.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, especially during critical situations.
Additional Requirements
- Japanese or Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.
- A minimum of 3 years in store operations management, ideally within a medium to high-volume grocery retail setting; experience with Japanese retail is beneficial.
- Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales and profit targets, with solid business acumen.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, time management, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong math skills.
- Flexibility to manage a dynamic workload and work a varied schedule.
