As a full-time Store Manager, you are passionate about serving your community by providing the best shoe store experience for the whole family. You achieve this by challenging yourself and leading your store team to meet and exceed responsibilities related to Talent, Culture, and Operations. You are a people leader, taking pride in motivating your team to reach sales targets and growth goals. Through personal demonstration, training, and development, you foster an in-store culture where customers feel confident and loyal to your store, our brands, and our company. You stay enthusiastic about the product and store presentation, keeping up with trends and educating your team accordingly. Most importantly, you LOVE shoes and help every customer experience the Famous Feeling.

What You’ll be Doing

  1. Inspire The Customer Connection: You’ll motivate your team with integrity and drive, fostering a culture focused on customer relationships and operational excellence. You’ll develop internal talent by assessing strengths, coaching, and modeling selling behaviors to enhance customer connection.
  2. Lead Talent Discovery: You’ll proactively seek and network with exceptional external talent, investing in developing strong succession plans for leadership roles. During interviews, you’ll hire individuals passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and sales.
  3. Own Retail Operations: You’ll oversee daily store operations, from pricing to inventory management, ensuring the store runs smoothly. You’ll leverage store standards to keep styles easily shoppable and make staffing decisions to meet peak times and seasonal demands.
  4. Leverage Insights to Deliver Results: You’ll take ownership of goals, using business insights to refine strategies and drive sales. You’ll recognize the importance of every sale and align operational efforts for success.
  5. Be the Architect of a Winning Culture: You’ll promote diversity and inclusivity, creating a positive environment where all associates feel valued. You’ll maintain a proactive mindset and engage the team in innovative ways to increase retention and performance.

Preferred Qualifications & Education
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • 1-5 years retail management experience, preferably in specialty retail
  • Ability to build effective relationships and lead, motivate, and develop a team
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and perform physical activities like standing, walking, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods
