Summary

The Store Manager oversees sales efforts across departments and supervises overall store operations to ensure efficiency and profitability. Responsibilities include enforcing company policies, communicating with district management, representing the brand professionally, and maintaining product knowledge. The role emphasizes delivering outstanding customer service and promoting merchandise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Drive store sales and meet sales goals.
  2. Manage store assets and operations.
  3. Lead and train sales staff.
  4. Monitor sales, inventory, and expenses to ensure profitability.
  5. Collaborate with District Sales Manager on policies and goals.
  6. Ensure departmental responsibilities and standards are met.
  7. Mentor and develop sales team members.
  8. Handle recruiting, hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  9. Maintain store security and partner with Asset Protection.
  10. Manage inventory and communicate with district management.
  11. Implement marketing and stay informed on customer trends.
  12. Stay aware of competition and community events.
  13. Provide exceptional customer service.
  14. Protect company assets and financial information.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Manage subordinate supervisors and staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Retail experience, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
  • Management and sales team experience.
  • 3-5 years customer service and 3+ years management experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer service commitment and leadership skills.
