Job description

The Daiso Store Manager will oversee the daily operations of your assigned store. The Store Manager will ensure the smooth running of store operations to maximize sales and minimize costs. An effective store manager will be able to motivate all store personnel to perform according to their maximum capability. The goal is to manage our store in ways that boost revenues and develop the business.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop business strategies to increase customer base, expand store traffic, increase basket size, and optimize profitability.
  • Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to staff.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain store condition, oversee promotional events or displays.
  • Uphold Daiso's standards for display presentation.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, assess training needs, and build career paths.
  • Address issues from staff or customers (complaints, grievances, etc.).
  • Manage store inventory, including loss prevention.
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing education.
  • Create and manage employee schedules to meet customer demand and payroll targets.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, discipline, and offboard staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 1-3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience as a retail manager or similar role.
  • Knowledge of retail management best practices.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to carry and lift up to 40 lbs.

Time Management & Skills:

  • Judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage others.

Driving Requirements:

  • Driving required.
