Position Objective
This position creates, engages, and welcomes an environment that cultivates an inclusive culture, providing equitable opportunities and driving both associate and customer engagement. This role directs activities to achieve store goals, including enhancing customer experience, managing talent, meeting financial objectives, ensuring operational controls, asset protection, safety, and merchandise presentation.
Functional Responsibilities
- Understand, model, and ensure Associate commitment to Brand culture, policies, and procedures; hold Associates accountable for their actions.
- Recruit, attract, select, hire, retain, and develop talent. Proactively fill positions with qualified talent and maintain a viable succession plan by developing internal bench strength through observation, thoughtful questions, and development.
- Partner with Design and Merchandising leaders through the Product Life Cycle (PLC) process and seasonal development related to looks.
- Lead merchandising activities to ensure healthy product turnover and gross margin.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Guarantee selling behaviors align with Brand expectations through consistent observation and coaching.
- Support in-store company-sponsored events, philanthropy, or other initiatives.
- Analyze reports, identify opportunities, and create strategies to meet business needs and enhance customer experience.
- Lead implementation of visual merchandising updates and product placement within Brand guidelines, maintaining visual standards.
- Clearly communicate brand positioning and educate associates on lifestyle, concepts, and product knowledge.
- Manage controllable expenses through effective scheduling and financial discipline.
- Stay informed on current market trends and articulate them using Brand interpretations during customer interactions. Adhere to Brand dress code guidelines.
- Lead, direct, and execute tasks with high productivity levels.
- Ensure schedules support business peaks, associate availability, and operational needs.
- Maintain compliance with operational guidelines, health and safety protocols, Asset Protection policies, other company policies, and laws.
- Value individual talents and lead the team by communicating expectations, providing guidance, delivering feedback, and empowering team members.

Qualifications
- High School diploma required; some college or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- 5+ years of supervisory/management experience in retail preferred, with at least 2 years as a Store Manager.
- Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain a store team, and hold individuals accountable.
- Ability to foster a positive, inclusive work environment.
- Strong role modeling skills, prioritizing customer focus.
- Organizational, delegation, prioritization, and deadline management skills.
- Knowledge of visual standards and techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze business trends, act on findings, and manage payroll to maximize performance.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently within deadlines.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical activity required, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
