AS A STORE MANAGER, A TYPICAL DAY INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

  • Developing, coaching, evaluating, and retaining management and associate talent. Creating strategies to support team and company growth.
  • Recruiting, selecting, and managing a diverse range of associates and leaders.
  • Investing in continuous training and development for yourself and others.
  • Inspiring and motivating your team through clear feedback and coaching.
  • Fostering teamwork, collaboration, and engagement among associates.

  • Driving total store sales and understanding your role in sales growth and profitability.
  • Building a guest-centric culture and using survey tools to improve the guest experience.
  • Promoting credit and loyalty programs to enhance shopping experience.
  • Ensuring operational accuracy, efficiency, and brand consistency through merchandising and inventory management.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS AS A BEALLS OR HOME CENTRIC STORE MANAGER:
  • Strong coaching, training, and engagement skills with associates of varying experience levels.
  • Excellent communication skills to build rapport and trust.
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency with Zebra PDA, POS systems, Microsoft Office, and payroll/scheduling software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Goal-setting, performance management, and accountability skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years management experience preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing, and physical ability to perform essential functions, with or without accommodations.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry at least 20 pounds.
  • Full mobility including bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
