Job description

As a financial services leader, we strive to make a difference in our customers’ lives and the communities we serve. Our Store Managers are responsible for the daily operations and profitability of one or more of our retail locations, including Check ‘N Go, Allied Cash, or Cash Store, all part of the CNG Holdings, Inc. family of companies. The Store Manager oversees site operations, sales, customer service, and store-level leadership.

Responsibilities
  1. Serve and educate customers on the product portfolio by presenting all options that meet their needs.
  2. Interact with customers using active listening to confirm or clarify information and diffuse complaints.
  3. Escalate unresolved issues to the District Director of Operations (DDO) and Corporate Office.
  4. Respond professionally to customer inquiries, applications, requests, sales, and collections, complying with federal regulations and company procedures.
  5. Handle cash and manage cash drawers, deposits, and safes; may be responsible for bank deposits or pickups.
  6. Balance daily receipts with sales reports and resolve discrepancies.
  7. Perform customer verifications and process transactions accurately, including loans, check cashing, and Net Spend.
  8. Ensure compliance with federal, state regulations, and company policies.
  9. Complete required training and compliance modules timely.
  10. Coordinate store operations, development, and training to meet metrics.
  11. Maintain staff schedules and support store coverage within the district.
  12. Support staff in delivering excellent customer service and embodying sales culture.
  13. Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training of Assistant Store Managers.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales, customer service, and cash handling.
  • Preferred: 1+ year of supervisory experience.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and active listening skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and lead at the store level.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and insurance.
  • Willingness to uphold core values of accountability, inclusiveness, transparency, and focus.
Physical Demands
  • Work in a retail/office environment with extended phone use and long periods of standing.
  • View screens and type for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations.
  • Travel to stores within the district and possibly neighboring districts.
  • Work scheduled shifts as assigned.
Supervisory Functions

May lead one or more Assistant Store Managers on-site.
