Job description

The Store Manager position is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership to the store and teammates. This role supports Monro’s vision of becoming a leader in automotive and tire centers, trusted by consumers for quality maintenance and repairs.

Pay : $55,458 - $78,000 yearly. Compensation is based on experience and certifications, with eligibility for additional incentives.

Essential Functions :

  1. Develop sales and technical teammates to deliver a consistent 5-star Guest experience.
  2. Achieve sales goals by assisting in developing and implementing sales plans, and maintaining thorough knowledge of services, products, and the automotive industry.
  3. Introduce tire and service products to guests to maximize sales, satisfaction, and loyalty.
  4. Support teammates in establishing a productive sales environment through training on shop operations and guest services.
  5. Manage staffing by recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and developing teammates.
  6. Control expenses by managing payroll, utilities, store maintenance, supplies, and other controllable costs.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Management Responsibility :

The Store Manager provides daily leadership to all store positions, including General Service Technicians, Technicians, Technical Service Manager, Service Manager, and Assistant Store Manager, operating under the general direction of the District Manager.

Qualifications :

High School Diploma or equivalent. 2-4 years of leadership experience in retail/sales. Proven ability to manage, drive financial results, and control costs. Ability to motivate and influence a team to achieve goals.

Knowledge & Skills :

  • Customer-focused mindset with experience in customer-centric environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Business-oriented with a drive to exceed goals.
  • Basic algebra skills for calculating figures and percentages.
  • Proactive, with proficiency in multitasking in fast-paced settings.
  • Ability to identify problems, analyze data, and develop practical solutions.
  • Effective mentoring, coaching, and team development skills.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements :

  • Operate in an automotive shop environment with exposure to noise, weather, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
