Job summary

Stoney Clover Lane is seeking a Store Manager for our East Hampton, NY location. You will oversee all store operations, drive sales, manage staff, and ensure exceptional customer service while safeguarding inventory and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of retail management experience, preferably within a fashion, luxury, specialty, or lifestyle retail environment.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving operational excellence.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and retail/POS systems.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak retail periods.

Job Summary

As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, including sales performance, customer service, staff management, inventory management, and financial accountability. You will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring an outstanding shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
• Monitor sales metrics and take proactive measures to address opportunities and deviations from targets.
• Partner with Retail Leadership to communicate business results, opportunities, and action plans.
• Drive store performance while maintaining a strong understanding of customer trends and business needs.

Customer Service

• Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service.
• Train and motivate staff to provide personalized assistance and memorable customer experiences.
• Effectively resolve customer concerns and foster long-term customer relationships.
• Ensure the team consistently demonstrates strong product knowledge and represents the Stoney Clover Lane brand.

Staff Management

• Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team.
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to support employee development.
• Create a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement.
• Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance and company standards.
• Partner with Human Resources and Retail Leadership on employee relations, performance management, staffing, and development needs.
• Manage store scheduling and coverage based on business needs.

Inventory Management

• Oversee inventory levels and ensure accurate stock replenishment to meet customer demand.
• Implement inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and optimize product availability.
• Maintain appropriate organization of merchandise and back-of-house inventory.
• Support inventory counts and loss prevention initiatives.
• Manage store payroll, budget, and expenses effectively to maximize profitability.
• Analyze sales and financial reports to identify opportunities for revenue growth and expense management.
• Partner with Retail Leadership on sales-driving initiatives and business priorities.
• Maintain accountability for store performance and proactively communicate opportunities or concerns.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store environment.
• Ensure merchandise displays, visual standards, and signage meet company expectations.
• Oversee opening, closing, cash-handling, and other operational procedures.
• Implement and maintain safety protocols to provide a safe and secure environment for employees and customers.

Community Engagement

• Build strong relationships within the East Hampton community to drive brand awareness and customer loyalty.
• Participate in local events, activations, and initiatives to enhance the store’s visibility.
• Serve as a brand ambassador for Stoney Clover Lane within the local community.

Qualifications

• Strong business acumen and ability to analyze sales performance and identify opportunities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and retail/POS systems.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak retail periods, as needed.
• Salary Range: $90,000–$100,000 annually.
• Bonus: Yes – eligible for the Store Manager bonus program based on store performance.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and move throughout the store for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform the physical functions associated with operating a retail store, with or without reasonable accommodation.
