Position: Manager

Reports to:

District Supervisor

Purpose of Position:

Direct the day-to-day operation of an assigned Par Mar Store in a manner that exceeds Company Goals and Expectations of Total Quality Service to our Guests. Maintain the store's image standards and provide support and guidance to employees to ensure the best customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Availability: Must be available at all times to respond to emergencies, customer concerns, and incidents. Must be reachable by phone when away from the location. Flexibility to work evenings or weekends during training of new Assistant Managers.
2. Driving on Company Business: Maintain a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Recognize and sign a “Statement of Understanding” regarding these requirements.
3. Safety: Enforce safety measures, ensure proper incident reporting, and maintain a safe work environment.
4. Guests: Greet and acknowledge guests, ensure high standards of guest satisfaction, and handle complaints promptly and professionally.
5. Image: Maintain a professional store atmosphere, ensure proper dress code adherence, and keep the store exterior and interior clean and attractive.
6. Training and Employee Development: Complete ongoing training, train staff, set goals for employees, and review performance.
7. Compliance: Ensure adherence to all laws, regulations, and company policies, including tobacco, alcohol, health, and safety policies.
8. Loss Prevention: Follow loss prevention policies, conduct inventory counts, and investigate discrepancies.
9. Promotions and Food Service: Support store promotions, community events, and maintain food service standards and compliance.
10. Receiving and Vendor Procedures: Properly receive merchandise, follow vendor procedures, and maintain inventory control.
11. Physical and Mental Requirements: Ability to stand for long hours, lift up to 50 pounds, work in cold environments, climb ladders, reach, bend, and perform repetitive tasks safely. Corrected vision and hearing are required. Ability to respond calmly in stressful situations and avoid impairment.
