Salon Service Group is seeking a Store Manager in Sioux Falls, SD. You will lead daily store operations, drive sales, manage inventory, and mentor a team to deliver outstanding customer service.

Job Summary

Store Managers lead and develop a team that delivers exceptional customer service in a well-run, well-merchandised SSG store. You are the face of SSG to local stylists and salon owners, and a partner to the DSCs who serve them. You run the store's daily operations, hit sales and inventory goals, and build a team that models SSG's culture of partnership. True leaders at SSG encourage growth in people, in the business, and in our ever-changing industry.

Duties/Responsibilities

Customer and sales

• Provide exemplary service and keep the customer the top priority.
• Communicate consistently with area DSCs to meet and exceed sales goals and support their customers through the store.
• Support promotions and brand programs, including Groupie periods, Groupie Set/Reset of displays and planograms, Intros, and Trades.
• Track store sales and trends in Qlik, and act on them with your Store Market Leader or Regional Sales Director.

Team leadership

• Hire, train, coach, and retain knowledgeable Associates who model the SSG culture of partnership.
• Set clear expectations, challenge and motivate employees, and give regular feedback.
• Build and manage schedules that cover current store hours within labor budget.

Store operations

• Uphold high standards of merchandising and operational excellence, following planograms (POG).
• Manage day-to-day operations in S2K POS and S2K Mobile WMS, including receiving, inventory accuracy, transfers, and cycle counts.
• Manage cash handling, daily deposits, and credit card processing with accuracy and integrity.
• Use the Store Investment Fund only as policy allows, submitting requests through the Pack Request Form in Gateway.
• Keep the store clean, safe, and compliant with company policy.

Communication and follow-through

• Communicate regularly with your Store Market Leader, Sales Director, and Home Office teams.
• Organize, delegate, prioritize, and follow up to maximize productivity.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Excellent communication and strong organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel, and comfort learning new systems (S2K POS, Gateway, Qlik).
• Self-starter attitude and a continual drive to grow.
• Working knowledge of inventory management.
• Passion for the beauty industry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience building and maintaining business relationships.
• Enjoy problem solving.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail and/or customer service experience a plus.

Physical/Other Requirements

• Lift up to 30 pounds.
• Stand/walk up to 8 hours.
• Work the store's published hours.
