The Café Manager is a hands on position with responsibility for service functions both FOH and BOH, systems and processes. Café Manager will oversee the day to day operations at CAW Valencia with the help of Shift Leads/Key Holders. Café Manager is responsible to lead the team in providing an engaging and unique guest experience with prompt service. Complete knowledge of all products at CAW is an absolute must. Café Manager must have passion for customer satisfaction, a sense of urgency and be able to work in a motivating team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary role of this position is to oversee the day to day operations of Craftsman and Wolves Valencia. The primary areas of responsibility of Café Manager are:

• Guest experience and quality assurance
• Staff training and management
• Daily cash management and accurate record keeping
• Shop presentation and ambiance
• General shop upkeep and maintenance
• Weekly supplies inventory and ordering
• Reporting to Operations

The duties are inclusive of, but limited to, the following:

• Train CAW staff members according to CAW standards and operational procedures. Provide support to stationed staff members during busy business hours.
• Prepare quality coffee and tea beverages and menu items consistently at the request of the guest in a timely manner.
• Operate a POS system and complete opening/closing cash handling and register operating procedures.
• Answer any questions about Craftsman and Wolves history, concept or product.
• Up sell and introduce new product with each guest encounter.
• Ensure service is according to CAW standard.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Work as part of a team and contribute to team motivation.
• Follow CAW’s operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling, safety, and security.
• Communicate effectively with management.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Assist counter staff in helping guests.
• Provide administrative support to Shift Lead/Key Holder.
• Continuously find new ways to elevate the guest experience at CAW.

Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of management/supervisor experience.
• A High School Diploma.
• Flexible work schedule.
• Ability to understand written and verbal communication in English.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Able to communicate effectively in a fast paced environment with both the guest and fellow team members.
• Great customer services and listening skills.
