Base pay range

$22.50/hr - $23.75/hr

Overview:

As a Store Manager at WSS, your Neighborhood Shoe Store, you will be responsible for creating an engaging and motivating environment by leveraging technology to enhance the customer experience and streamline operations. You will be the expert in product knowledge, guiding your team to deliver exceptional service. By promoting a culture of one-touch resolution, you'll empower your team to address customer needs quickly and effectively, ensuring a seamless and efficient shopping experience. Your leadership will foster a positive store culture, drive performance, and ensure both customers and team members feel valued.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management to drive conversion by analyzing sales data, identifying opportunities to engage customers, and ensuring the team delivers exceptional service.
  • Coach team members on effective selling techniques, encourage add-on sales, and ensure the store is visually appealing and well-stocked to maximize customer engagement.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales (UPTs), conversion rates, and customer satisfaction.
  • Rally the Team and Strategize on adjustment necessary to meet target Goals.
  • Regularly review KPIs with teams ensuring they understand the importance of KPIs and how their individual performance impacts the store’s overall success.
  • Focus on recruiting top talent, providing comprehensive training, and offering ongoing development opportunities to build a high-performing team in a collaborative environment.
  • Manage work schedules, enforce company policies, and coach team members to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee inventory, cash handling, and operational procedures, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Ensure store performance aligns with business objectives, maintaining budgets and meeting shrink targets.
  • Review and ensure compliance with planograms, making adjustments as needed to optimize product placement, maximize sales, and maintain Visual Merchandising & Store Standards.
  • The role requires the ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs., and stand or walk for 8 hours daily.
  • Employees must climb ladders, maneuver boxes, and communicate effectively in person and on the phone while performing essential tasks.

Required Experience:

  • High school diploma with 3+ years of retail management experience preferred.
  • Must have strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Point of Sale, and Time Keeping systems, with the ability to understand financial reports and analyze problems.
  • Proven track record in customer service and team development is essential.
  • Must be self-starters, capable of identifying strategic opportunities to increase KPIs and coach their team effectively.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays & occasional overnights .
  • Ability to work within a 25-mile radius.
