LaMar's Donuts and Coffee in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Store Manager (Hourly) to lead daily operations, financial performance, and guest experience. This working manager role participates in front counter and drive-thru service, beverage and food production, and team support during peak periods.

Eligible for tips while on the clock; bilingual differential adds up to $2.00 per hour for English plus Spanish, and regular overtime paid at 1.5x.

Responsibilities

• Operations Leadership: Manage all daily store operations, ensure compliance with health, safety regulations, food safety standards, brand SOPs, maintain luxury level store presentation.
• Revenue and Profitability: Drive store toward $2M-$4M+ annual revenue targets, manage labor %, food cost %, sales performance, execute upselling and premium product strategies.
• Team Leadership and Development: Hire, train, develop staff, maintain compliance with Kansas labor laws, Equal Pay Act, anti-discrimination policies; lead by example as a working manager.
• Scheduling & Labor Management: Build efficient schedules aligned with sales, ensure legal compliance for breaks, overtime, wage laws.
• Guest Experience: Deliver elevated hospitality experience, resolve issues immediately, maintain speed, accuracy, professionalism.
• Production and Quality Control: Oversee donut production, beverage program, food consistency, maintain premium quality standards.
• Inventory and Supply Chain Execution: Manage ordering and inventory, reduce waste and shrinkage, ensure vendor compliance.
• Administrative Duties: Timekeeping and payroll approvals, hiring onboarding, performance management.

LaMar's Donuts and Coffee – Store Manager (Hourly)

Location: Overland Park, KS

Department: Retail Operations

Reports To: District/Area Manager

FLSA Status: Non Exempt (Hourly)

Tip Eligibility: Yes (while performing direct service duties)

Position Summary

The Store Manager is responsible for daily operations, financial performance, team leadership, and elevated guest experience of a LaMar's Donuts and Coffee location. This is a working manager role that actively participates in guest service (front counter and drive-thru), beverage and food production, and team support during peak periods.

Because the Store Manager regularly performs the same duties as tipped employees, this role is eligible to earn tips while on the clock when engaged in direct customer service.

Compensation

Base Hourly Rate

• $18.75 to $28.00 per hour

Bilingual Pay Differential

• +$1.00 per hour for employees who speak English and at least one additional language (besides Spanish, see below), are approved by management as actively using bilingual skills in the workplace, and applies to all hours worked (not just service time).
• +$2.00 per hour for employees who speak English and Spanish, are approved by management as actively using bilingual skills in the workplace, and applies to all hours worked (not just service time).

Overtime

• Paid at 1.5x hourly rate for all hours worked over 40/week.
• Includes bilingual differential in regular rate calculation as required by law.

Tips

• Eligible to earn and accumulate tips while on the clock when performing direct service work.
• Tips may include cash tips, credit card/digital tips, tip pool distributions (if applicable).
• No tip credit taken; LaMar's pays full hourly wage per Kansas minimum wage laws.
• Tips are additional compensation.

Tip Participation Rules

CAN earn tips when:

• Serving guests directly.
• Running POS/drive thru.
• Preparing beverages or food.
• Supporting team during active service.

CANNOT earn tips when:

• Performing administrative duties: scheduling, hiring, payroll, inventory planning, office/admin work.

Break and Meal Periods

• 10 minute paid rest break for every 4 hours worked.
• 30 minute unpaid meal period for shifts over 5 hours.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Schedule Expectations

• Full time (35-45+ hours/week).
• Must be available: early mornings, weekends (Saturday and Sunday) required, holidays.
