LaMar’s Donuts and Coffee is seeking a Store Manager in Wichita, KS. This is an hourly, non-exempt management role that actively participates in guest service, beverage and food production, and team support during peak periods.

The position includes a base hourly rate with bilingual pay differentials, 1.5x overtime, and tip eligibility. The Store Manager leads daily operations, drives financial performance toward multi‑million annual targets, and ensures compliance with labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Operations Leadership – manage all daily store operations and drive revenue toward $2M–$4M+ annual targets.

• Scheduling and Labor Management – build efficient schedules and ensure breaks and overtime compliance.
• Guest Experience – deliver elevated hospitality and resolve issues promptly.
• Production and Quality Control – oversee donut production and beverage program.
• Inventory and Supply Chain Execution – manage ordering and reduce waste.
• Administrative Duties – timekeeping and payroll approvals, onboarding and performance management.

LaMar’s Donuts and Coffee – Store Manager (Hourly, Non‑Exempt, Tip Earning Eligible)

Location: Wichita, KS

Department: Retail Operations

Reports To: District/Area Manager

FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt (Hourly)

Tip Eligibility: Yes (while performing direct service duties)

Position Summary

The Store Manager is responsible for the daily operations, financial performance, team leadership, and elevated guest experience of a LaMar’s Donuts and Coffee location. This is a working manager role that actively participates in guest service, beverage and food production, and team support during peak periods.

Compensation

• Base Hourly Rate: $18.75 to $28.00 per hour
• Bilingual Pay Differential
  • + $1.00 per hour for employees who speak English and at least one additional language (besides Spanish) and are approved by management as actively using bilingual skills in the workplace.
  • + $2.00 per hour for employees who speak English and Spanish and are approved by management as actively using bilingual skills in the workplace.
• Overtime: paid at 1.5x hourly rate for all hours over 40 per week, including the bilingual differential in the regular rate calculation.
• Tips: eligible to earn and accumulate tips while on the clock during direct service work (cash, credit/digital tips, tip pool if applicable). No tip credit is taken; workers receive the full hourly wage per Kansas minimum wage laws.

Tip Participation Rules

• Can earn tips when: serving guests directly, running POS/drive‑through, preparing beverages or food, supporting team during active service.
• Cannot earn tips when: performing administrative duties such as scheduling, hiring, payroll, inventory planning, or office/admin work.

Break and Meal Periods

• 10‑minute paid rest break for every 4 hours worked.
• 30‑minute unpaid meal period for shifts over 5 hours.

Core Responsibilities

• Operations Leadership – manage all daily store operations, maintain luxury level presentation, drive revenue toward $2M–$4M+ annual targets.
• Revenue and Profitability – manage labor %, food cost %, sales performance, and execute upselling and premium product strategies.
• Team Leadership and Development – hire, train, and develop staff; maintain compliance with Kansas labor laws, Equal Pay Act, anti‑discrimination policies.
• Scheduling and Labor Management – build efficient schedules aligned with sales, ensure legal compliance for breaks, overtime, and wage laws.
• Guest Experience (Fast Luxe Standard) – deliver elevated hospitality, resolve issues immediately, maintain speed, accuracy, professionalism.
• Production and Quality Control – oversee donut production, beverage program, food consistency, maintain premium quality standards.
• Inventory and Supply Chain Execution – manage ordering and inventory, reduce waste and shrinkage, ensure vendor compliance.
• Administrative Duties – timekeeping and payroll approvals, hiring and onboarding, performance management.

Note: Administrative time is non‑tipped work.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of restaurant, café, or retail management experience.
• Experience managing hourly teams.
• Strong operational and financial understanding.
• Ability to work in high‑volume environments.
• Food Safety Certification (or ability to obtain).

• Coffee/specialty beverage experience.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Schedule Expectations

• Full time (35–45+ hours per week).
• Must be available for early mornings, weekends (Saturday and Sunday), and holidays.
