Job Description

About the Role:

The Store Manager is a salaried leadership role overseeing all store operations, including General Service Technicians, Technicians, Guest Care Specialists, and Assistant Store Managers. Reporting to the District Manager, the Store Manager is responsible for daily leadership, teammate development, and promoting products and services to guests to support Monro’s vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales and technical teammates to deliver a 5-star Guest experience.
  • Achieve sales goals through planning, knowledge of services, and industry understanding.
  • Introduce tire and service products to maximize sales and guest satisfaction.
  • Support teammates in establishing a productive sales environment through training and development.
  • Provide direction to technicians and assist with services/repairs as needed.
  • Manage staffing, including recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Control expenses related to payroll, store maintenance, supplies, and utilities.
  • Manage inventory, including tires and parts, and ensure proper stocking.
  • Audit courtesy inspections and maintain store cleanliness and guest-ready condition.
  • Schedule guest appointments and assign tasks based on teammate skills.
  • Meet sales goals by informing and recommending products and promotions.
  • Address guest needs, complaints, and adjustments to ensure satisfaction.
  • Build guest relationships to enhance loyalty and retention.
  • Convey repair and service needs clearly to guests.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain technical knowledge through training and certifications.
  • Operate and maintain equipment safely per guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Leadership experience in retail/sales.
  • Ability to manage and drive financial results while controlling costs.
  • Influence and motivate teams to achieve objectives.
  • Strong communication skills for team and guest interactions.
  • Complete all required training within specified timelines.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Additional Information

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

This role operates in an automotive shop environment with exposure to noise, weather, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. Must be able to work flexible hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks like standing, walking, reaching, bending, and stooping.
