Job description

New Store Opening – Silver Lake, Los Angeles, CA

As Store Manager, you will play a key role in building the team, establishing the culture, and bringing the Thursday Boot Company retail experience to life from day one. This is a unique opportunity to help launch a new market while taking full ownership of store performance and shaping the store’s long-term success.

As the leader of your store, you are responsible for every aspect of the business—from delivering an exceptional customer experience and building a high-performing Ambassador team to driving results that support sustainable profitability and long-term growth.

This is a hands‑on leadership role with high accountability and meaningful upside for someone who wants to own the result. You lead from the floor, set the pace for execution, and ensure operations reflect the brand at the highest level. You also bring a deep understanding of how quality footwear, apparel, and accessories are created, and ensure the team can confidently speak to product and fit.

You are responsible for building and maintaining a culture of hospitality that ensures every customer interaction is intentional, consistent, and memorable.

This role offers meaningful opportunities for growth and increased responsibility within a fast‑growing brand for those who consistently deliver strong results.

What You’ll Do

Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, hire, and develop a high‑performing team of Retail Ambassadors, Lead Ambassadors, and Assistant Store Managers
  • Set clear expectations and deliver consistent, structured feedback through ongoing performance management
  • Build a team culture where expectations are clear, feedback is timely, and leaders consistently follow through on performance and development
  • Coach leaders and team members to drive strong individual performance and team results
  • Lead from the floor—supporting the team, solving problems, and upholding standards

Store Performance & Business Ownership

  • Drive revenue, conversion, profitability, and customer loyalty on a sustainable basis
  • Use sales, labor, and expense trends to make informed decisions that improve operational performance and profitability
  • Translate sales, labor, and customer feedback trends into clear weekly priorities that improve results
  • Review performance regularly and adjust staffing, floor leadership, and coaching as needed
  • Provide clear written updates on performance, priorities, and follow‑through, with full accountability for results
  • Align the team to business goals and maintain accountability through daily execution

Store Operations & Execution

  • Lead daily store operations to drive consistency, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Manage scheduling, staffing, and labor to support business needs
  • Ensure consistent execution of POS processes, inventory routines, and store procedures
  • Own inventory accuracy through consistent cycle counts, restocks, discrepancy follow‑up, and reporting
  • Hold the team accountable to clear operating expectations each day

  • Uphold high store standards across cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation
  • Drive strong merchandising and product presentation that supports the customer journey
  • Ensure the store environment—including ambiance and functionality—reflects brand standards
  • Take ownership of store condition by identifying maintenance needs and coordinating timely resolution with internal teams and vendors
