Job summary

BibliU is seeking a Store Manager for our campus store at Henderson Community College. You will lead a customer-focused team, drive sales and profitability, and strengthen campus relationships to enhance student access to materials.

You will manage inventory, train and motivate staff, ensure policy compliance, maintain visual merchandising standards, and develop partnerships with faculty and administration to promote Day 1 access and optimal course materials choices.

Responsibilities

• Collect, enter and analyze adoptions for order placement and communicate with campus stakeholders; promote the most affordable option for students.
• Manage store inventory: receiving, tagging, set-up, and return of unsold items to vendors.
• Develop strong relationships with faculty to gather course material information; schedule meetings with administrators to promote Day 1 access.
• Meet sales goals by training and motivating sales staff and giving feedback.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Conduct performance appraisals to guide training and career development.
• Address customer service issues in partnership with Regional Manager.

Position Title: Store Manager

Reports to: Regional Manager

Location: Henderson Community College, 2660 South Green Street, Henderson, Kentucky 42420

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent. Working Hours: 40 hours per week.

Pay Rate: $35,000 - $45,000 per annum.

Position Overview

We are looking for a results driven retail Store Manager for our store. The successful candidate will be able to lead a customer focused team, drive sales and profitability and enhance campus relationships.

What you will be doing

• Collect, enter and analyze adoptions for order placement and maintain regular communication with campus stakeholders regarding status. Introduce and promote the most affordable option for the student.
• Manage inventory for your store, including receiving, tagging, set-up and the return of unsold inventory to the vendors.
• Develop and maintain a good working relationship with the faculty to obtain key information for course materials. Schedule regular appointments and meet with the appropriate administrative personnel to build partnerships, promote Day 1 access and determine the best option for students.
• Meet sales goals by training, motivating and providing feedback to sales staff.
• Ensure company compliance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths.
• Address customer service issues and partner with Regional Manager to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Must have: Proven success as a retail manager, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Desire to lead a results oriented team that is an integral part of the campus community, Detail oriented with organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two (2) years of college or its equivalent.
• Background in campus store management.
