Our Store Managers are responsible for the daily operations and profitability of one or more of our retail locations, including Check ‘N Go, Allied Cash, or Cash Store, all part of CNG Holdings, Inc.
The Store Manager oversees site operations, sales, customer service, and store level leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve and educate customers on our product portfolio by presenting all options that meet their needs.
- Interact with customers, using active listening skills, to confirm or clarify information and diffuse complaints.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the District Director of Operations (DDO) and Corporate Office.
- Respond professionally to customer inquiries, applications, requests, sales, courtesy, and collection calls in compliance with regulations and store procedures.
- Handle cash, including managing cash drawers, deposits, and safe transfers; may include bank deposits or pickups.
- Balance daily sales reports and resolve over/short discrepancies.
- Verify customer information during transactions.
- Process transactions accurately, including loans, check cashing, and Net Spend.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, company policies, and complete required trainings.
- Coordinate store operations, staff development, and training to meet metrics.
- Maintain staff schedules and assist with coverage in other stores within the district.
- Support staff to deliver excellent customer service and uphold sales culture.
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding Assistant Store Managers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in sales, customer service, and cash handling.
- Preferred: 1+ year supervisory experience.
- Strong customer service, communication, and active listening skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, work independently, and lead at the store level.
- Must have reliable personal transportation, a valid driver’s license, and insurance.
Physical Demands:
- Work in retail/office environment with extended phone and computer use.
- Long periods of standing and lifting up to 50lbs.
- Travel within the district and possibly to neighboring districts.
- Work scheduled shifts.
Supervisory Functions: May lead one or more Assistant Store Managers.
