Responsibilities

• Maintain orderly, presentable appearance of the store.
• Ensure exceptional customer service by offering expert advice, assisting with product selection, and resolving any issues promptly.
• Oversee daily store functions, ensuring smooth operations, organization, and inventory management.
• Stay up-to-date with cycling trends and products, providing customers with knowledgeable advice on bikes, gear, and repairs.
• Manage daily finances, including cash handling and sales transactions, while maintaining inventory levels and ordering stock.
• Foster relationships with local cycling groups to increase visibility and customer loyalty.
• Adapt to and meet the diverse needs of customers, from high-end bike enthusiasts to everyday cyclists.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• General experience working in or knowledge of the bike industry.
• Excellent communication skills, both with customers and staff.
• 2-3 years in retail management or a supervisory role, ideally in a bike shop or related field.
• Passion for cycling with solid understanding of bikes, gear, and basic repairs.
• Proven ability to manage store operations efficiently.
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50lbs) and stand for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (e.g., in bike repair) are a plus.
