Job Title: Store Manager at Holiday Stationstores

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in retail sales preferred.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities as described below.
  • Ability to supervise and train staff in the use of equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to supervise store functions effectively.
  • Computer skills or willingness to acquire them, including report analysis, inventory and cash control, counseling notices, etc.
  • Valid driver’s license and transportation for bank and management meetings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Skills
Leadership and Management
  • Recruit, hire, and train employees to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Manage and assign tasks to maintain site cleanliness, stock, and organization.
  • Maintain a professional image among staff and supervisors.
  • Schedule employees to maximize customer service and site appearance.
  • Apply non-discriminatory management practices in hiring, training, counseling, motivating, and separating employees.
Site Relationships
  • Develop positive relationships with suppliers.
  • Address customer complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Promote a safe and positive community image.
Training and Development
  • Provide performance appraisals and feedback.
  • Ensure staff training on customer service, site image, and safety.
Communication
  • Ensure timely communication with employees.
  • Hold regular meetings with staff and management.
Organizing and Planning
  • Develop action plans to meet site goals.
  • Maintain site files and manuals.
  • Ensure reports are completed accurately and timely.
  • Oversee merchandise display, pricing, and signage.
Financial
  • Analyze sales and expenses to maximize profits.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and merchandise margins.
  • Safeguard financial transactions.
Working Conditions
  • Primarily indoor work, with outside tasks like cleaning parking lots and pumps.
  • Occasional exposure to cold temperatures in cooler/freezer areas.
  • Occasional noise exposure.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
