Job summary

H-E-B in Texas is seeking a Maintenance Representative to keep the store clean, safe, and welcoming for customers both inside and outside the building. You will handle sanitation tasks, basic maintenance, and customer service duties in coordination with store leadership.

The role requires adherence to safety SOPs, strong initiative, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A physical, hands-on role with opportunities to contribute to a well-run store.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Store cleanliness and safety with a sense of urgency and prioritization.
• Cleans / picks up trash and debris from flower beds and yard around the Store.
• Uses H-E-B chemical program; correctly organizes / maintains stock in maintenance room.
• Washes windows and mirrors throughout Store.
• Empties / cleans trash receptacles throughout the shift.
• Ensures compliance with food safety and sanitation standards / SOPs.
• Communicates maintenance needs, problems, or solutions to Store Leaders.
• Performs minor maintenance repairs using simple hand tools.
• Maintains ceiling air vents; replaces light bulbs.
• Works with and around customers; attends to their needs.
• Assists customers in the location of product.
• Performs Customer Service Assistant (CSA) duties, when needed.
