Job summary

ShopRite Manchester is seeking a Maintenance Associate in Manchester, CT to deliver a great customer experience while performing maintenance and janitorial duties throughout the store. The role focuses on keeping store premises clean and sanitary and presenting an attractive environment for customers and associates.

The position is part time and non-union, with duties including cleaning, stocking supplies, greeting customers, and adhering to store policies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Able to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Able to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during routine housekeeping duties.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Empty all trash and recycling containers as prescribed by Store Management.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms including all plumbing fixtures.
• Replenish paper and soap supplies in all restrooms.
• Clean, mop, sweep, scrub, strip, wax, buff or vacuum floor areas as designated.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work/shopping environment.
• Greet all Customers and provide them with prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Collect empty shopping carts and return them to their proper place.
• Observe store rules and Company policies.
• Dress and groom according to Company policy.
• Stand for the duration of scheduled shifts.
