Client & Service Expert:
  • Oversee the development of clientele by leading by example in the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, produce strong results from proactive outreach and the development of a personal business trade.
  • Development of business driving initiatives that build a repeat business or that attracts a new customer.
  • Ensure each associate is actively utilizing their client book to generate increased sales through monthly client book reviews and evaluation of outreach.
  • Ensure team compliance with all clientele standards and thank you note policy.
  • Ensure all associates complete the sales training program.
  • Model and supervise the selling environment, providing consistent coaching on sales training to ensure the highest level of customer service and sales.
Leadership Presence/Steward of Talent:
  • Achieve financial success through improvement of measurable statistics that positively impact store performance.
  • Hire, train, and motivate a qualified sales team that effectively represents and communicates the Kate Spade New York brand to customers.
  • Provide specific development for the assistant manager and supervisor by assigning accountabilities and training with consistent follow-up and feedback.
  • Perform annual performance evaluations with quarterly review of employee goals.
  • Network and create positive relationships in the community that result in business generation, brand awareness, and building a bench of qualified candidates for key positions.
  • Attend approximately two annual company management meetings.
Building Brand Equity:
  • Understand and communicate the Kate Spade New York brand aesthetic, philosophy, and lifestyle to the sales team and customers.
  • Ensure visual merchandising directives are implemented effectively and standards are maintained.
  • Analyze and react to business trends, communicate sell-through, stock levels, and opportunities to increase sales.
  • Communicate customer feedback and quality issues to the District Leader to improve service and sales.
Operational Excellence:
  • Supervise store opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and securing the facility.
  • Conduct regular store meetings for effective communication.
  • Maintain payroll budget and weekly hours to ensure appropriate coverage.
  • Oversee inventory processes to maintain integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with loss prevention policies.

Work Setup

Base Pay Range: $29.50 to $44.00 per hour.
