Job summary

Rural King is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily store operations and deliver an outstanding customer experience. This role partners with the Store Manager to drive sales, develop associates, oversee merchandising and inventory, and ensure operational excellence.

As a key leader, you will coach and develop associates, recruit and onboard talent, and uphold Rural King's values of People First and Integrity while maintaining a safe, engaging shopping environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail leadership or supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop teams.
• Experience with retail operations, merchandising, inventory management, scheduling, and customer service.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations with Store Manager to drive sales and inventory accuracy.
• Improve productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction through strategic actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop associates; conduct performance evaluations.
• Foster an inclusive, high-performing team and succession planning.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and support promotions and loyalty programs.
• Promote OSHA safety and asset protection initiatives.
