Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is hiring for a Cashier/Stocker role in Texarkana, AR. You will lead in the absence of store management, manage plan-o-grams, assist customers, and help maximize store profitability and loss prevention.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking, cashiering, merchandising, and maintaining cleanliness. Requires high school diploma and basic math and cash-handling skills; retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (preferred).
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and handle cash accurately.
• Familiarity with IBM cash register functions and cash handling procedures.
• Understanding of safety policies and proper workplace conduct.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandising guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to store procedures.
• Stock merchandise and maintain shelves incl. plan-o-grams.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers.
• Operate cash register and process payments; bag merchandise.
• Keep store clean, organized and safe for customers and staff.
