Dollar General Corporation is seeking a diligent Cashier/Stocker to support store operations in Texarkana, AR. The role includes leading in the absence of management, assisting with plan-of-gram setup, and delivering exceptional customer service.

The position requires basic math, cash handling, and effective communication. Duties cover stocking, register duties, cleanliness, and ensuring a secure, organized store environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-of-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsabilidades

• Unload trucks following store procedures.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock and rotate merchandise on shelves and displays; build displays.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Order zones and drop shipment categories as directed by Store Manager.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Help customers locate merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety, including lighting, floors and restrooms.
• Greet customers entering the store; assist at the register as needed.
• Operate cash register and scanner; bag merchandise and make change.
• Ensure cashier accountability, key control and cash security.
• Monitor cash levels and drawer pulls; assist with deposits when required.
• Open/close the store under Area Manager guidance; handle refunds/overrides.
