Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 6 months to 1 year of retail and management work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic business and customer service principles including planning and organizing, resource management and leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas in a clear and understandable manner.
• Ability to deal with customers, unanticipated problems or events using standard procedures.
• Ability to work as scheduled including arriving to work on time.
• Ability to operate a cash register and other equipment used in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide assistance and recommendations.
• Ring up sales on cash register, handle payments, and provide courteous service.
• Operate fuel, lottery, money order and other machines as required.
• Maintain store cleanliness and report equipment issues to the Store Manager.
• Monitor product displays, stocking and pricing signage for freshness and appeal.
• Assist with scheduling, shift supervision, and training of staff as needed.
