Job summary

Dollar General in Latrobe, PA is hiring a Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of the Store Manager. You will assist with planograms and customer service while safeguarding assets and maximizing profitability.

Responsibilities include unloading deliveries, stocking shelves, operating the register, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment. Supervisory exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of store safety and loss prevention policies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks following store procedures.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock and face merchandise; build displays.
• Restock returned merchandise and manage inventory.
• Order zones and drop shipment categories as directed.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and updates.
• Greet customers and assist in locating items.
• Maintain register area and implement plan-o-grams.
• Operate cash register, total purchases, and bag merchandise.
• Collect payments and make change.
• Clean front end, stockroom, and restock displays.
• Lead in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
• Authorize refunds/overrides and ensure cash control.
