Job Title: Huck’s Market Assistant Manager

Job Purpose: The Assistant Manager is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of their shift, within company policy, to contribute to the store’s profitability and to assist the manager in management functions. An Assistant Manager must be willing to accept a promotion and assume the responsibilities of a store manager upon completion of training programs and when an opening is available. (Relocation options are negotiable.)

Job Duties And Responsibilities:
General Management

• Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers, including greeting using the gasoline intercom and adhering to Best In Class standards.
• Observe shift operating hours as assigned and help fill shifts.
• Work the store manager's days off and at least two evening shifts per week during peak hours.
• Perform tasks assigned by the Store Manager.
• Communicate effectively with staff and management.
• Follow all applicable laws and regulations.
• Model appropriate conduct for associates.
• Report sales, cash, or operational discrepancies to the Store Manager.
• Ensure proper uniform and customer service standards are maintained.

Bookkeeping

• Complete shift change reports and daily paperwork.
• Record all hours worked accurately.
• Handle sales, refunds, and over rings properly.
• Make store deposits as directed.

Human Resources

• Treat all staff with dignity and respect.
• Report personnel issues to the Store Manager.

Security

• Follow shift procedures and ensure a safe environment.
• Handle cash and merchandise securely.
• Follow vendor check-in procedures.

Merchandising

• Keep stock and displays fully stocked and fronted.
• Maintain equipment and prepare high-margin products.
• Use correct pricing as per policies.

Maintenance

• Maintain store appearance and cleanliness.
• Report maintenance issues promptly.

Safety

• Follow proper lifting and safety procedures.
• Use wet floor signs and report accidents.

Huck’s Bucks Loyalty App

• Promote and explain the app to customers.
• Monitor for misuse and assist with sign-ups.
