Job description

Town Pump is seeking a motivated and outgoing Store Manager to join our team.

Town Pump is a growing company with increasing opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities of a Store Manager include:
  1. Providing excellent customer service, including communicating with customers, resolving complaints and inquiries, filling in for absent employees, and answering telephone calls.
  2. Making supervisory decisions aligned with Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures, and assisting in planning, leadership, organizing, and follow-ups related to controllable expenses, sales, gross margin, shortage controls, promotional programs, and competitor monitoring.
  3. Completing daily bookkeeping using a computer to record employee information, inventory, and sales data.
  4. Maintaining the security of all store assets, including control of cash, fuel, inventories, merchandise, and labor hours.
  5. Handling new employee hiring, training, orientation, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  6. Ordering supplies and merchandise, managing inventory, invoicing, and performing merchandising activities such as receiving, pricing, stocking, displaying, and rotating stock.
  7. Performing store maintenance, basic repairs, bank deposits, and light cleaning of the store and restrooms.
  8. Setting an example for coworkers through professionalism, attitude, and teamwork in customer service and store operations.
  9. Maintaining a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
