Position Overview
The General Manager leads Petco’s vision of “Healthier Pets. Happier People. Better World.” by developing a high-performing team that delivers top-line sales growth while ensuring animal welfare. The GM manages a Pet Care Center, focusing on people (hiring, training, development), performance (guest service, sales, expenses), and process (operations and policies), to achieve profitability. Passion for pets, leadership skills, process excellence, and results-driven mindset are essential.

Supervisory Responsibility
Direct supervision of team leaders and all center partners.
Work Environment
Primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor activities. Requires physical activity such as bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for long periods. Some travel may be required.
Contacts
Continuous contact with the public, coordination with other departments, vendors, and community events. External communication for merchandise, repairs, and events may be necessary.
