Job summary

Meijer Inc. offers a Store Support Internship Program for college students to gain a well-rounded retail education by leading projects that impact customers and Team Members. You will develop core skills in research, leadership, and presentation while learning store support operations.

Qualifications

• Progress toward a Bachelor's degree in Management, Operations, or related field.
• Prior experience in Retail or customer service strongly preferred.
• Past leadership responsibilities in work or extracurricular activities preferred.
• Passion for Retail or Customer Service and a desire to enter a career supporting retail stores
• Drive for results – action oriented with focus on financial impact of projects
• Customer focus - dedicated to meeting internal and external customers' expectations
• Digital mindset - comfortable with digital devices and analytics to access information
• Relationship skills - build positive working relationships with team members and leadership

What you will be doing as a Store Support Intern:

The Meijer Store Support Internship Program will provide college students with a well-rounded retail educational experience providing an opportunity for an Intern to lead a project impacting the customer or Team Member experience.

At the end of the Store Support Internship Program students will be able to:

• Develop competencies in key areas of research, leadership and presentation skills
• Have a clear and concise understanding of store support operations

The intern may also get exposure to other activities of the function, including:

• Store Operations
• Store Support Training
• Store Fulfillment

Qualifications:

The Meijer Store Support Internship Program is an experiential education program designed for students currently enrolled in an academic degree program, who are considering future careers in this exciting field.
