Join to apply for the Store Environment Team Member role at Michaels Stores.

Maintain the overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver our Brand Promises. Provide friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping and finding products.

Responsibilities include:

1. Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
2. Dust and mop floors as per procedures.
3. Move equipment and products for cleaning and restore them to correct places.
4. Clean assigned areas using designated materials and equipment, including preparing cleaning solutions if needed.
5. Deep clean key areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, and high traffic zones.
6. Keep cleaning equipment organized and notify supervisors of supply needs.
7. Identify areas needing cleaning and complete tasks proactively.
8. Follow all safety and legal guidelines.
9. Maintain positive interactions with team members and customers, projecting a positive image and serving as a role model.

Additional Duties may include:

• Provide efficient checkout experiences and handle cash transactions according to standards.
• Engage customers in rewards and credit programs, assisting with enrollments.
• Support omni-channel processes like BOPIS and SFS.
• Participate in unloading trucks, stocking, and planogram setups.
• Support shrink and safety initiatives.
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies to ensure compliance.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Ability to stand for long periods, move throughout the store, and perform bending, lifting, and reaching.
• Work may include nights, weekends, and outdoor tasks, with some areas not climate-controlled.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and meet legal requirements.

Pay range: $16.25 - $18.80 per hour.
