What is a Store Driver?

An entry-level store position responsible for delivering parts to commercial customers and assisting with store tasks and inventory processes. The role requires fleet safety certification and can be part-time or full-time.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Safely deliver parts to customers
  2. Pick and stage parts for orders
  3. Pickup returns and cores
  4. Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers
  5. Collect credit accounts daily
Secondary Responsibilities
  1. Maintain store cleanliness
  2. Stocking including trucks and back stock
Success Factors
  1. Basic driving and navigation skills
  2. Proficiency with delivery systems
  3. Friendly communication skills
  4. Ability to locate and stock parts
  5. Knowledge of safety procedures
  6. Operating inventory and store equipment
Essential Job Skills
  1. Effective communication and relationship building

Preferred Experience

Automotive parts experience is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Must have a valid driver’s license and be fleet safety certified. Tennessee applicants need a valid F-endorsement.

Physical Demands

Must be able to walk, stand, talk, hear, handle objects, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Primarily indoor work, with occasional outdoor tasks in various weather conditions. Exposure to moving parts, heights, chemicals, electrical hazards, and noise is possible.
