What is a Store Driver?

An entry-level store position responsible for supporting the delivery of parts to commercial customers. The role includes delivering parts, assisting with tasks and inventory processes in the store. This position can be part-time or full-time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Safely deliver parts to customers
2. Pick and stage parts for customer orders
3. Pick up returns and cores
4. Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers
5. Collect credit payments daily

Secondary Responsibilities

• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, and parking lot
• Stock parts, including truck stocking and back stock

Success Factors

• Basic driving and navigation skills
• Ability to use delivery management systems
• Friendly communication skills
• Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently
• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Operate inventory systems and store equipment

Essential Job Skills

• Effective communication and relationship-building skills

• Flexibility to work various days, evenings, and weekends

Preferred Experience

Automotive parts experience is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Must have a valid driver’s license and be fleet safety certified.

Physical Demands

Requires walking, standing, talking, hearing, and using hands. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks in various weather conditions. Exposure to mechanical parts, chemicals, electrical hazards, and noise is possible.
