What is a Store Driver?

This entry-level store position involves supporting the delivery of parts to commercial customers. The role includes delivering parts, assisting with tasks and inventory processes in the store. It can be part-time or full-time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities

• Safely deliver parts to customers
• Pick and stage parts for orders
• Handle returns and cores
• Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers
• Collect credit accounts daily

Secondary Responsibilities

• Maintain store cleanliness
• Stock shelves and back stock

Success Factors

• Basic driving and navigation skills
• Familiarity with delivery systems
• Friendly communication skills
• Ability to locate and stock parts
• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Operating inventory and store equipment

Preferred Experience

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Must have a valid driver’s license and be fleet safety certified.

Physical Demands

Requires walking, standing, talking, hearing, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Must have good vision and physical agility.

Work Environment

Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor tasks in various weather conditions. Exposure to mechanical parts, chemicals, and noise is possible.
