What is a Store Driver?

An entry-level store position responsible for supporting the delivery of parts to commercial customers. The role involves delivering parts, assisting with tasks and inventory processes in the store. This position can be part-time or full-time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
2. Pick and stage parts for customer orders
3. Pick up returns and cores
4. Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers
5. Collect credit accounts daily

Secondary Responsibilities

• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
• Stock store and truck inventory, including back stock

Success Factors

• Basic driving and navigation skills
• Proficiency with delivery board systems
• Friendly communication skills
• Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently
• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Experience operating inventory systems and store equipment

Essential Job Skills

Preferred Experience

Automotive parts experience is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Must have a valid driver's license and be fleet safety certified.

Physical Demands

The role requires walking, standing, talking, hearing, and manual dexterity. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Visual abilities include close, distance, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

The work is primarily indoors but may include outdoor tasks in various weather conditions. Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, heights, chemicals, electrical hazards, explosives, vibration, and moderate noise levels.
