What is a Store Driver?

An entry-level store position responsible for supporting the delivery of parts to commercial customers. The role includes delivering parts, assisting with tasks and inventory processes in the store. This position can be part-time or full-time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Safely deliver parts to customers
2. Pick and stage parts for customer orders
3. Pick up returns and cores
4. Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers
5. Collect credit payments daily

Secondary Responsibilities

• Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot)
• Stock store and truck back stock

Success Factors

• Basic driving and navigation skills
• Ability to use delivery systems
• Friendly communication skills
• Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently
• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Operate inventory systems and store equipment

Essential Job Skills

• Effective communication and relationship-building

Preferred Experience

Automotive parts experience is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, and Certifications

Must have a valid driver's license and be fleet safety certified.

Physical Demands

The role requires walking, standing, talking, hearing, manual dexterity, reaching, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor work in various weather conditions. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, electrical hazards, and noise levels are possible.
