What is a Store Driver?

This is an entry-level store position responsible for supporting the delivery of parts to commercial customers, as well as assisting with tasks and inventory processes within the store. The position can be part-time or full-time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
  2. Pick and stage parts for customer orders
  3. Pick up returns and cores
  4. Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers
  5. Collect credit payments daily
Secondary Responsibilities
  1. Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, and parking lot
  2. Stock shelves and back stock, including truck stocking
Success Factors
  • Basic driving and navigation skills
  • Ability to operate delivery systems and inventory systems
  • Friendly communication skills
  • Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently
  • Knowledge of safety practices

Preferred Experience

Automotive parts experience is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Must possess a valid driver’s license and be fleet safety certified. For applicants in Tennessee, a valid F-endorsement on your driver’s license is required.

Physical Demands

Employees must be able to walk, stand, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel. Must be able to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

The work is primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks exposed to weather and mechanical hazards. Noise levels are usually moderate.
